《辛普森一家》第一季大人、小孩都愛看的“阿森一族"，最主要的成功因素應該歸於將劇中人物刻劃得精彩傳神的六名配音員，這些幕後功臣也創下全美電視卡通配音員收入最高的紀錄。
“阿森一族"六名主要配音員的薪水從每集兩萬五千美元一路上漲，二零零一年更爭取到每人每集十萬美元的薪資，調薪幅度高達百分之四十三。平均算來，每名配音員參加一季的配音便至少可賺入兩百二十萬美元
在美國，《辛普森一家》（港譯《阿森一族》）是最受歡迎的電視卡通片。春田鎮上的這個五口之家用他們荒誕的經歷諷刺著當代美國社會的生活和文化。辛普森一家的形象隨著電視劇的走紅而成為世界性的流行符號，其中愛搗亂的長子巴特·辛普森已經成為一個大眾偶像，連《時代》周刊也將他選為“20世紀演藝界最重要的人物"之一。
