前言
本書基於工學結合的教學模式，研究電子信息類專業就業崗位要求，進行典型工 作任務的分析，設計了《電子信息專業英語》教材的學習領域。內容包括電子技術簡 介（Introduction to Electronic Technology）、 電 子 器 件（Electronic Parts）、 電 子 電 路（Electronic Circuits）、電子儀器設備與測量（Electronic Instruments & Measurement）、電子 CAD 設 計（Electronic CAD）、電子產 品（Electronic Products）、通信系統
（Communication System）、計算機技術（Computer Technology）、電子產品生產（Electronics Manufacturing）及電子職業工作（Electronics Occupation）總計 10 個學習項目。通過這 10 個項目（單元）的學習，逐步提高學生閱讀、理解和翻譯電子信息專業英語資料的能力， 為學生今後能夠以英語為工具，獲取和交流專業技術信息打下良好的基礎，達到電子信息 專業英語課程教學目標的要求。
每一學習項目（單元）精選 3 篇科技文章，包括課文、辭彙、難點注釋和習題。本書 注重選用各種不同類型的英文資料，有英文教材、實驗指導書、科普資料、電子產品檔案、 產品說明書、招聘廣告及簡歷等，並附有較多的插圖，生動有趣，既可以達到比較好的教 學效果，又可以拓寬學生的知識面。本書教學建議為 60 個課時。
課文內容多數選自原版英文資料，但是並不是整個段落的摘抄，而是對多篇文章的匯總，並對其中較難的句子和辭彙做了修改，以便在文章的內容、結構、篇幅、難度等方面 適合高職學生學習。
課後配有單詞和技術辭彙的音標和注釋，以及課文中難點和重點句子的語法解釋和翻 譯，對科技術語和重要概念提供簡要的輔助資料，以便於理解課文，並在學習科技英語的 同時擴大專業知識面。
課後還配有針對課文內容的選擇填空或判斷對錯練習，進一步加深對課文的理解，同 時配有擴展閱讀材料練習，擴大相關專業知識面。
在每一單元後簡單介紹了英語語法和翻譯知識，可供教師在教學中選用和學生自學。
《電子信息專業英語》第 1 版自 2012 年 3 月出版以來，承蒙廣大院校教師與學生們 的厚愛，已經連續印刷多次。為了進一步提高教學效果，更好地為全國高職院校師生服務， 第 2 版對第 1 版部分章節的內容、結構等進行了修訂和完善，增加了電子信息的新技術， 增加了專業英語語法習題，開發了美音外教朗讀課文錄音、重點課程教學錄像、實驗實訓視頻及生產現場視頻、設備圖片及演示動畫等課程多媒體教學資源，建設了“電子信息專 業英語”多媒體互動教學資源平台。
本書由廣東機電職業技術學院高立新（副教授、高級工程師）主編，郭楊、吳孟金參 與了部分章節的編寫。
本書配套的多媒體教學資源，可在電子工業出版社華信教育資源網上免費使用。
