陳懷宇,生於1974年,江西樟樹人。旅美歷史學者,主要研究興趣為中國古代史、宗教史、近現代思想學術史。

學術經歷

1991-1995年:北京師範大學歷史系本科生。

1995-1998年:北京大學歷史系碩士生,導師榮新江。

1998-2005:美國普林斯頓大學宗教系博士生,導師太史文(Stephen F. Teiser)。

暑期遊學:2000年明德學院日文學校;2001年日本京都大學;2004年德國慕尼黑大學。

2003春季學期:普林斯頓大學助教。

2003年秋季學期:羅格斯大學講師。

2005-2008年:西來大學助理教授。

2008年-今:亞利桑那州立大學歷史、哲學、宗教學院(SHPRS)與國際語言文化學院(SILC)合聘助理教授,校內亞洲研究中心、中世紀與文藝復興研究中心、宗教與衝突研究中心兼任研究員。

獲獎

曾獲西來大學傑出教授獎、中國時報文化基金會青年學者獎、蔣經國國際學術交流基金會青年學者基金、美國國家人文基金會(National Endowment for Humanities)暑期津貼、亞利桑那州立大學人文研究所研究基金、亞利桑那州立大學宗教與衝突研究中心研究基金。獲選為2011-2012年度普林斯頓高等研究院 (Institute for advanced Study)歷史學部member。中文論文《周作人與赫爾德:民俗學與民族性》獲2011年清華大學百年校慶《清華學報》優秀論文獎。
