現任電子科技大學研究生院培養處處長、中國教育科研網西南地區網路中心副主任,計算機學院教授、博士生導師。現為中國教育信息化理事會理事、中國高等教育學會教育信息化分會理事、四川省計算機學會高性能計算專委會委員、四川省高校信息化工作委員會副秘書長。

本科、碩士、博士均就讀於電子科技大學計算機學院,分別畢業於1995年、1999年和2004年。作為負責人,近年來共主持省、部級基金等各類科研項目10餘項,其中兩項通過省級科技成果鑑定。近年來作為第一作者在ACM、計算機科學等國內外重要學術刊物和國際會議上發表學術論文二十餘篇,EI檢索5篇,出版發行專著六部。目前承擔碩士生公選課“計算機入侵檢測技術”課程,主要研究方向為計算機軟體、計算機網路。
