王學欽，男，1975年6月生。出生於福建省長樂市航城街道里仁村.中山大學數學與計算科學學院和中山醫學院雙聘教授，博士生導師。中山大學生物醫學信息實驗室PI。統計科學系副主任。中山大學附屬第一醫院特聘教授。《the Journal of Global Infectious Diseases》的編委和《中華預防醫學》的審稿人。1993-1997年就讀於南開大學數學係數學試點班，獲理學學士；1997-1999年在南開大學數學系碩士研究生學習；1999–2003年於紐約州立大學賓厄姆敦分校數學系讀博士學位, 並獲數學博士學位；2003–2004年任密西西比大學數學訪問助理教授；2004–2007年在耶魯大學醫學院流行病學和公共衛生系從事博士後研究工作；2007年9月以“百人計畫”人才引進身份進入中山大學工作。目前，主要從事數理統計學，統計遺傳學，計算生物學和生物信息學研究，在數據挖掘和全基因組關聯分析方面具有特長。

2. 全基因組的關聯分析，主要研究基因的確定和基因-基因或環境-基因間的互動作用。
3. 統計學習，主要在生物信息學上，如基因表達，序列的特徵選取等。
4. 生存數據，高維數據，縱向數據中的非參數和半參數方法。
5. 經驗過程，尤其是經驗U-過程。
6. 穩健回歸分析和深度函式。
7. 混合模型。
