研究方向：
中西醫結合神經疾病的防治和研究。擅長中醫藥治療顱腦術後併發症、腦血管病、多發性硬化、帕金森以及其他神經系統疑難病症。對於顱腦術後發熱強調濕熱是核心病機，清利濕熱每獲良效；急性腦卒中乃風火痰瘀級鏈反應，治風系切斷反應鏈之核心；多發性硬化補腎是防止復發的關鍵；帕金森系肝腎精血不足，髓海空虛，虛風內動，填腎精，補肝血，熄內風。現任職務：
首都醫科大學附屬北京天壇醫院中醫科主任，主任醫師，教授，首都醫科大學中西醫結合碩士研究生導師，北京中醫藥大學博士研究生導師，北京市中西醫結合神經病學重點學科負責人，北京地區綜合醫院示範中醫科建設負責人。中華中醫藥學會理事(第四屆)，中華中醫藥學會內科學會委員，中華中醫藥學會博士研究會常委，北京中醫藥學會理事(第九屆)，北京中醫藥學會腦病專業委員會副主任委員，北京中醫藥學會青年工作委員會主任委員，首都醫科大學中醫藥學院學位會委員，國家中醫藥管理局專家庫成員，國家科學技術獎、中華醫學會科學技術獎、中華中醫藥學會科學技術獎等評審專家，北京中醫藥大學學報、中華中醫藥雜誌、北京中醫審稿專家，中國康複雜志編委。科學研究：
第一人稱在國內外期刊上發表學術論文70篇，報刊論文20多篇，《健康時報》中醫藥欄目特約專家。主編和副主編著作5部，參編著作6 部。主持和作為主要人員參與國家自然科學基金重點項目、北京市自然科學基金、北京市科委社會發展基金、北京市中醫藥科技基金等研究課題10項。科研成果：
獲得北京中醫藥大學科技進步獎2項，中華中醫藥學會科學技術獎(三等獎)1項，北京市科學技術獎(三等獎)1項，國家教委科技成果獎1項，中華中醫藥學會科學技術學術著作優秀獎1項，北京市中醫管理局抗擊SARS優秀論文三等獎。多次獲王忠誠醫學獎勵基金。現為北京市醫藥衛生十百千人才(百)、北京市中醫藥人才培養計畫Ⅰ類人才(優秀臨床人才)。最近被評為北京首屆民眾喜愛的中青年名中醫、優秀中青年中醫師、北京市衛生局黨組優秀共產黨員。
Professor Fan yongping, was born in jiangsu nantong in 1965, graduated from Beijing university of traditional Chinese Medicine, and was awarded medical doctor degree in 1996. He learned TCM following professor Wang mianzhi 、Nie huimin and Liu duzhou, they are famous experts in China.
He major is research on neurological diseases with method of integrated Western medicine and Chinese Medicine. He is good at the treatment of complications of post-craniotomy, cerebral vascular disease, multiple sclerosis, as well as other complicated neurological diseases. Removing damp-heat from body is an effective method in the treatment of fever of post-craniotomy. Wind is the core factor in cutting the reaction link of wind-fire-phlegm-blood stasis in the treatment of stroke. Replenishing kidney yin is the most important in the preventing patients of multiple sclerosis from relapse.
Professor Fan is director of TCM department of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, tutor of candidate for master degree and doctor degree of capital University of Medical Sciences and Beijing University of TCM. He is also the leader of Beijing key research project of integrated neurology of western and Chinese Medicine. Council membership of Chinese association of TCM and Beijing association of TCM. Now he is head of youth committee, Beijing association of TCM,vice director of brain disease committee , Beijing association of TCM, and expert of several magazine.
Professor Fan has published 83 papers and 11 books. He is taking charge of more than 10 research projects, such as fund of national natural science, fund of Beijing municipal natural science, fund of Beijing Bureau of TCM,etc. awarded the award Beijing technology and science and state of Chinese association of TCM.
