學校簡介：
the governors academy 創立於1763年，是一所兼走讀和寄宿的男女混校，提供9年級到12年級的中學課程。學院位於麻薩諸賽州的byfield, 距離波士頓北33英里處，離大西洋西海岸只有4英里。 學院占地450英畝，以有先進的教學設施為傲，結合傳統和創新的多元化課程，優秀的學習環境， 激發學生的求知慾。
伽文納中學最早的歷史要追溯到1763年，由麻薩諸塞副州長william dummer捐款建造，是美國最早的一所私立寄宿制中學。
由於歷史悠久，學校中湧現出了許許多多傑出的人才。時至今日，伽文納學校將秉承優秀的傳統，為培養優秀的領導者而努力，學校並不是要求每一位學生最終都功成名就、家喻戶曉，但是期望他們擁有獨立自主的個性和見解，有著非凡的學識和自信。在2005－2006學年中，我校的372名學生分別來自19個州和許多國家，包括澳大利亞，加拿大，中國，捷克等國的優異學生。
