Microsoft Research China
Dr. Xiaoning Ling joined Microsoft Research, China as a Research
Development Manager and Software Architect in November 1998. Before
returning to China, he had worked in the Visual Studio product group at
Microsoft where he focused on the graphing technology that has become
part of many Microsoft products. He spent his first years at Microsoft
doing research on multimedia object models.
Dr. Ling graduated from Beijing University with a Master's degree in
Computer Science and received his Ph.D in Computer Science from Oregon
State University in 1990. Prior to joining Microsoft in 1993, he worked
for Continuum, Bill Gates' private multimedia company.
