In Paragraph 23, there is an interesting word (“shamelessly”) which draws my attention. I imaged a word “shame” immediately. From the AOD online dictionary, I know it means “not seeming to be ashamed of your bad behaviour although other people think you should be ashamed”. The phrase “take a bow” means “stand forward or stand up to” and it is a way which the showoffs want to gain clap and cheer. A special phrase “count as” interests me. This “count” doesn’t mean “calculate”. The phrase means “be regarded as”. Meanwhile, I want to know why the author says “no quitting”. I infer that the speaker shifts the topic from him or her to the other person, but than he or she asks the listener about the speaker. So the spotlight shifts back.

In this paragraph, the author tells me how we are allowed to exult. The conditions: one is that we are not addicted about exulting; the other is that we should try to study to walk off the stage, and give clap and cheer for the people’s performance. In a sentence, we should keep our attitudes in any situation. Try to give other people some opportunities to show off and let them be the center of the stage, and share the appreciation which was given from others.??
