少年時期Harry同哥哥Luke以及Matt Conyngham、Seth Campbell在學校組過一個叫Lizardsun 的樂隊。Harry在Crediton的Queen Elizabeth's Community College 學習，在英國著名演藝學院——LAMDA（The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art ）接受表演訓練，曾經是英國國立青年劇團的成員。
