Fuck tha Police這首歌的歌詞有著強烈的N.W.A的烙印，並且從Straight Outta Compton中的眾多歌曲中脫穎而出。它突出了城市中的黑人青年與警察【在幾年後因1992 Los Angeles riots（1992洛杉磯暴動）和Rodney King incident（羅德尼·金事故）達到高峰】的衝突。並且歌曲中還斷言黑人警察背叛了他們與警察的戰鬥：

這首歌也因Bone Thugs-N-Harmony的翻唱而普及，同時也受到搖滾樂隊Dope，Soulfly和Rage Against tha Machine的喜愛。這首歌曲還被選入了N.W.A的精選專輯：N.W.A's Greatest Hits。
1989年，澳大利亞的廣播電台Triple J在ABC（澳大利亞廣播電台公司，Australian Broadcasting Corporation）注意到他們之前，整整播放了Fuck tha Police長達6個月的時間，不過後來就被勒令停播了。作為對此舉的回應，Triple J電台24小時播放了N.W.A的Express Yourself，大概在1天內就播了360多次。
1996年時，在塞爾維亞的貝爾格勒發生了大型的街頭抗議N.W.A的Fuck tha Police和Public Enemy的Fight tha Power被貝爾格勒的電台B92連續播放了2天。
Kanye West同樣在他的單曲All Falls Down中暗示了這首歌曲 "I say 'fuck tha police', that's how I treat 'em". Ice-T的重金屬團體Body Count的單曲Cop Killer中也包含了歌詞"Fuck tha Police"。
