黃宗玉,博士,碩士生導師。2006年於武漢大學凝聚態物理專業碩士研究生畢業 ;畢業後到湖南科技大學工作;2011年9月到湘潭大學攻讀博士學位,2014年6月獲得凝聚態物理專業博士學位,並與同年7月進入湘潭大學物理與光電工程學院工作。主要從事范德瓦爾斯二維原子晶體材料的電子結構和光電性質及套用方面的研究工作。目前以第一作者或通訊作者在2D materials、Nanoscale、Journal of Applied Physics、Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics等刊物上發表SCI論文14篇,多次被ACS Nano, Materials Today等刊物正面引用和引述 。
