內容介紹
內 容 提 要本書為“目標英語閱讀階梯系列”書第二冊，編寫辭彙量基於
2000詞左右。所選短文60篇，內容涉及人文地理、科普知識、政
治經濟、風土人情、名人鐵事、幽默故事等，目的在於豐富讀者的
文化背景知識，培養閱讀興趣，擴大辭彙量，提高閱讀能力。選材
不但有較強的趣味性和知識性，而且針對性和實用性也較強。每
篇短文後，針對一些長句、複雜句以及句子中難理解的地方，附加
了注釋，並配有不同類型的辭彙練習。每5篇短文後配有一個詞
匯、詞組綜合練習題，可幫助讀者熟練而牢固地掌握一些重點單
詞及詞組，打好語言基礎，從而提高語言的套用能力。為便於讀者
閱讀和正確理解短文，書後附有參考譯文，並有練習答案，便於自
學。
本書可作為大專院校低年級學生英語閱讀輔助教材，也可供
高中、中專以及各類相應水平的讀者使用。
