遴選/淘汰程式
在遴選階段，三名評判面前各有一個按鈕，在表演者表演途中，如果評判不想表演者繼續的話，評判可以隨時按下按鈕。在第一季的節目，按下按鈕時會發出電子鈴聲，台上亦會出現一個紅色大交叉及該評判的名字。當第三名評判皆按下按鈕後，台上會發出巨大聲響，表演者需立即停止表演。在第二季的節目中，評判按鈕後只會發出聲響，而三名評判皆按鈕後，會有一支藍色射燈射向表演者，表示該表演者已經出局。但這並不一定有決定性，因為有時評判會在未得到其他評判許可時，按下另一名評判的按鈕。因此往往需要在表演後，評判需要表示表演者能否進入下一輪比賽，而參賽者需要兩名評判的準許才可以進入下一輪比賽。分集介紹

第一集：Los Angeles & ST. Louis選手有：彈大地豎琴的William Close，射弩弓的Ben Blaque，腹語選手Todd Oliver & Irving，雜技車技組合All Wheel Sports，用電線表演的Light Wire Theater，黑人父女組合Shaniece & Maurice Hayes，穿紅衣服表演高空雜技的小姑娘Amazing Elizabeth，很有愛的父女組合Jorge & Alexa，把毒蠍子含嘴裡的那個表演……
第二集：San Francisco
選手有：街頭藝術組合David Garibaldi & His CMYK'S，雜技Cristin Sandu，男歌手Tim Hockenberry，音樂魔術組合Jarrett & Raja，舞獅團Lion Dance Me，80歲說唱表演的老奶奶……
第三集：New York
選手有：狗狗表演組Olate Dogs，被踢某部位的Horse，樂隊組合Wordspit, the Illest，還有一個77歲的rap選手Burton Crane……
第四集：New York
選手有：雜技夫妻組合Donova & Rebecca，喜劇演員Tom Cotter，變裝皇后All Beef Patty，跟Turf競爭的Stepz……
第五集：Tampa Bay
選手有：有紋身的踢踏舞隊All that!，黑人男歌手Ulysses，下崗工人組成的銅管樂隊The Distinguished Men of Brass，不會跳舞的四個比基尼美女……
第六集：ST. Louis
選手有：逃脫大師Spencer Horsman，彈鋼琴唱歌的15歲男孩Jake Wesley Rogers，聽到晉級暈了的6歲小男孩Isaac Bryan Brown……
第七集：Austin Texas
選手有：唱情歌的墨西哥小男孩Sebastien "El Chavro De Ovo"，平衡雜技的來自伊朗的選手Bandbaz Brothers，戴個小帽子的Edon，沙畫藝術家Joe Castillo，人肉大炮David Smith，說自己當軍人受傷導致口吃的選手Timothy Michael Poe(其實沒口吃，裝的)……
第八集：Austin
選手有：用燈光表演的組合Aurora Light Painters，不是情侶的男女唱歌組合Eric & Olivia，讀心術Eric Dittelman，聲音很有辨識度的女歌手Nikki Jensen，哥特型的Andrew De Leon……
第九集：Tempa Bay
選手有：跳國標的小孩子組合The Untouchables，兄弟舞蹈組合The Scott Brothers，雜技舞者Lindsey Norton，男歌手Big Barry，特技隊BMX Team，男歌手Charlie C……
第十集：Los Angeles
選手有：喜劇表演者Jacob Williams，飛蝴蝶的女兒Mary Toyner，波多黎各舞蹈隊787組合，兩個85歲老奶奶組成的踢踏舞對Nancy & Estee Copper，不會rap專門來看Howard的Trish Paytas……
Las Vegas賽場 11-13集
第11-12集：Judge-Favorites表演從海選中晉級的選手由評審分成2組，Judge-Favorites(47隊) & Stand-By(43隊)，晉級名額是48個。先有Judge-Favorites表演，晉級，名額不足48個時，再從Stand-By中選出剩餘名額晉級選手。
除以上2組外，有六位選手未在名單中，這六位選手中直接晉級的是William Close(大地豎琴)，Olate Dogs(狗狗訓練)，David "the Bullet" Smith(人肉大炮)。直接淘汰的是Bandbaz Brothers(伊朗來的平衡雜技選手)，Charlie C(男歌手)，Ivy Rose(樂隊，第四集晉級)。
